Welcome to Chasewaterstuff’s Railway & Canal Blog

A busy June lies ahead, starting with the 4 days of the Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend:

Road/Rail event news update 15th May 2012

Due to circumstances beyond the control of Chasewater Railway, the traction engines booked to appear over the weekend of June 2nd/3rd/4th will no longer be appearing. We are obviously disappointed by this late cancellation but hope to still make the weekend a great event with 1 engine in service on Sat 2nd (may be diesel hauled), then two engines in steam On Sun 3rd & Mon 4th June. They will be chosen from our operational fleet which currently includes a guest locomotive, Staffordshire built Bagnall 0-4-0st 2842 “No.2″. Our accredited museum, model railway, The Sidings tea room and gift shops will be open.  Further attractions may possibly be added, updates will appear on our website and our official Facebook page. Please accept our apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience that this late alteration which was outside our control may have caused. Normal train fares apply.

Our Jubilee Party day on Tuesday the 5th is unaffected by the above and will have one engine in steam plus the popular 101 yr. old Barclay steam loco Colin McAndrew may also make an appearance.

Plus other events to come – further details later
