Sunday 12th June – What a day!

It had been dry for so long so why did it have to change this weekend?!  The South Staffs MG Owners Club looked to have a first-class turn-out building up but then the rains came – not to mention the wind building up later! The public obviously decided to stay at home, probably very wise, except for some hardy souls – and a big thank you to them.  It was not just the MGs which were suffering, the Chasewater Railway put on a demonstration ‘Coal Train Day’ – none too many people there, either, or I would imagine, at the second day of the Pelsall Boat Festival.  An awful lot of work for not much return – ‘Sod’s Law’ strikes again!A damp engine, station and camera! Not the best of days! – There are a few more soggy-looking photos on flickr – click the link in the blogroll.
